LOL! Yes it was great over the weekend and I learned so much! I am so, so, SO glad I went, it was worthwhile for all 4 of us! I wish I could have eaten dinner with Carla and Ellen, but ya know, with having to pay for the conference and then it's the weekend for rent, all my money was drained! I do remember that quote from Joan and it's absolutely stunning! Remember also about her losing her friend when her bud made the NYT BestSeller list? That stuck in my mind so much. It was so sad. I remember how frantic we were when everyone had to prepare for their pitch! Too funny! LOL! No one wanted to screw that up. I also had nice chats with ladies in the bathroom! I am not a RWA member in Jacksonville, but I definitely would love to be a part of it! Everything was fantastic I definitely recommend ppl join a writing group in their county or go to a conference so you don't feel so alone as a writer and to be around ppl that support and understand what u r trying to achieve.
