59 days

I updated my WIP / Upcoming project chart today, and realized with a shock that June 1st is only 59 days away. And like a fool, there are three different projects I want to submit for – and all three have a deadline of June 1st.

A part of me is looking forward to a day when I’ll write on proposal. Submit idea and maybe three chapters to an editor, and not worry that I’ve written a full project that doesn’t have a home.

But most of me is still so in love with finishing projects that I just want to get to the end of the story to see how it ends. And I think, how can you only write three chapters? How will you ever find out why Thor left Regina at the alter and turned up unconscious on the rim of a volcano if you stop when he’s three hours late for his wedding?

So 59 days, and 50,000 words to write. Hey, that’s twice as long as NaNo, and I did that! Once.

650 words down, and counting. So 59 days and 49,350 words to go… :turtle:
