Yesterday I was driving with Princess in the car, and “Hey There Delilah” came on the radio. At the end of the song, I hear sniffles coming from the backseat. “Mom, why doesn’t he want her to miss him?”

Only five years old, she can’t understand yet why sometimes even sad emotions can make you feel so deeply that you enjoy even the hurting, just because it’s making you feel so deeply. But she sure wanted to hear it again. Tears were still rolling down her cheek, and she told me “play it again!”.
