Football season is officially underway. I haven’t watched much the last 5 years. Ever since Princess came into the world, my days of Sunday barcamping ended, and more mundane things like blocks, Barbie, and ballet took over.
This week hubby ended up watching the game from home (first time he’s watched a Bronco’s game from home in years unless he was on doctor’s orders), and I actually sat down and watched most of it with him. And damn, Jason Elam still has it. A no-time-on-the-clock field goal to win it, starting the season off for Denver at 1-0. Go Broncos!
Between plays I put some time into working on the worldbuilding for a dragon story that I dreamed up (literally) last night. Not sure it will go anywhere, but when I wake up remembering the stories I try to get the details down before they’re gone. A day with note cards and I’ve got the basics down; now to decide if I’m ready to tackle it or not.
Got my first round of edits back on HTH this week, so tomorrow morning is set aside to finish them up. The book is already looking so much cleaner – I love seeing it get tighter every time I make a change or correction.
Maybe I better go do something similar in my kitchen – it could definitely use some cleaning after the weekend of neglect I’ve given it ![]()

I watched the Penn St. game yesterday. I haven’t watched a game in some time… but I still liked it. Just not as much as baseball. Football has a different appeal…more nostalgia. Friday nights, high school, band…friends, get togethers, homecoming…pretzels and candy.
there are benefits to being home…
not so expensive beer. Although, we used to go to this bar just off of campus called Stoney’s…or, Stoney Hollow Inn. a hole in the wall really but boy were the drinks cheap. And the company was decently and occasionally rowdy.
YIkes…I’ll stop now.
thanks for coming around and visiting my blog.
