I had a very female need for chocolate tonight, one that wouldn’t wait an hour while I baked or even 10 minutes while I ran out to Winn Dixie.
Luckily I found this Microwave Brownies in 5 minutes recipe. And very, very quickly all was right in my world.
They weren’t World’s Best, but they were pretty damn tasty. A bit more cake-like than I usually prefer my brownies, but that could have been from the margarine instead of the butter, or the eggbeaters instead of the eggs, or the corning ware instead of the glass pie pan. But very yummy, especially with a healthy dribble of Chocolate Temptation liqueur on the top.
Now, what am I going to do about my craving for Reese’s Peanut Butter?

Oh man… posting that link to those recipes was evil – evil, I tell you. *drools* What can one do about chocolate addiction? Satisfy it. *winks*
The Tour Manager and I keep Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in the freezer for just these times. He eats more of them than I do, I’d like to point out…
Also, Reese’s used to make peanut butter. We thought it was the best peanut butter on the market. But then our horrid grocery chain stopped carrying it in favor of their horrid store-brand and we haven’t been able to find it since.
I microwave cakes too! If you didn’t like the microwave brownie – you’ve GOT to try my Negative Calorie Chocolate Cake – its on my site.
Lately, I’ve been craving salty sweet – and not having Reese’s, I took a pretzel and put a Rolo candy on top. Squished the chocolate down with a pecan. Baked in oven 350 for 7 minutes I think. Pure heaven.
oops. I think the recipe I just gave you is wrong.
Pretzel + Rolo => oven 300F until melts and pretzel toasts just a bit.
Remove from oven and press pecan on each. Let cool.
