For the day before Christmas, things have been very quiet around here. The presents have been wrapped for several days now, the bread is rising on the counter.
The cake is baking in the oven for my Christmas Eve Trifle. Which isn’t a tradition, but if this one turns out well just might become one. I’m drooling looking at the ingredients list – chocolate cake, oreo cookies, chocolate crumb sprinkles, oreo filling cream, blackberries, raspberries, cream cheese. Fruit makes it healthy, right?
The sun is shining today, although we’re due a bit of rain tonight. Now there’s a Christmas present we can use. It made for some interesting planning when I saw the forecast, since the Princess Castle is supposed to be an outdoor present. Yay for screened in porches!
Lunch is on its way – nothing says Christmas Eve like General Tso’s Chicken and Potstickers – so I’ll wrap this up. Hope Santa brings you everything you deserve tonight – and an extra large portion of love to go with it.
