Today there was tile shopping. And a great bargain was found. Beautiful Italian ceramic for .97 a square foot. Now hubby just has to haul it home.
The kids had a long weekend home – off Friday for “Teacher Planning” and today for Martin Luther King day. Not a lot of work has happened during those days – Princess talks every minute she is awake, and a bunch of the ones she isn’t, which isn’t particularly condusive to my creativity -but the house is a bit shinier for my inability to focus. Registration opened today for the RWA conference in San Francisco this summer. I booked my spot as soon as I could get the site to let me in. I’ve never been to the west coast – major excitement. Cool roommates, several great workshops already announced, and there’s the endless cycle of parties to ‘network’ at. I’m not quite ready to start the count down clock, but it’s giving me major motivation to finish these projects I’ve left neglected and half finished.
And maybe start a few more
