Ann Aguirre is having a contest on her blog. Buy her latest release (Wanderlust, the followup to one of the best books I’ve read this year Grimspace), send her your Amazon order number (or other proof of purchase), and you’re entered into a drawing for $200 worth of books.
I loved Grimspace. Seriously one of the greatest books I’ve read in the Sci Fi romance genre. Can’t wait to get Wanderlust.
Kids are in school again this week after their Faycation. Today my son gets to ride the bus home from school. He’s 14, he’s a genius, this should be easy right? Why am I so nervous? My kids both walked to the neighborhood elemetary school, and I drove him back and forth to middle school. Time to let go, eh? He can survive an hour and ten minutes on the bus. Mostly I worry if he’ll be able to find the bus, and stay awake to get off at his stop.
I’m back on the treadmill for 30 minutes in the am. Seeing how fabulous Robin looked in SF, and reading that it is mostly due to her hour long walks, has me pulling on the sneakers and picking up my feet. Hubby has been out walking for 90 minutes every morning the past month. I, myself, don’t do 95 degrees and 100% humidity unless someone is threatening life or limb of someone I love. So, treadmill it is. IBut I’m off my butt at least a bit every day, so I’m going to cut myself a bit of slack over my inability to cope with summer nature walks in the marsh. Did I mention the marsh flies that swarm as soon as you start to sweat? :cringe:
