Pressure, weighing down on me

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Writing

The in-laws want to take us out for dinner tonight. Yum, yay, and zippity do dah! I love eating out. The only catch is that I have to pick the restaurant.
It must be a restaurant that fits the following :
- will please a man who will not eat Mexican, Asian, or [...]

The heart, still beating

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life

Saturday, as we were getting ready to go to my FIL’s birthday party, I let my husband know that I really probably should take it easy that night; my nose was sniffly, my throat tight and scratchy, my head a bit stuffy.
Sunday morning at about 11am, WHAM. My body was swarm attacked by every [...]

It’s inappropriate

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life

Princess just called out to me from the other room “Mom there’s something on tv and it’s inappropriate.”
Which made me giggle a bit. Oops. I’d set Sarah Connor and Dollhouse to TiVo earlier, since I knew I’d be in bed before the first show even ended. (It’s a golf weekend, and yes, [...]

Facebook owns any content posted on their site?

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life

I’m sitting at the downtown library catching up on emails and feeds while I wait for an appointment. Not a bad place to wait, since there’s a delish coffee shop here where for the price of a cup of coffee and a generous tip I can surf away an hour – an hour that [...]

All you need is love

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Weekly

Was your Valentine’s Day filled with love and good times?  Hubby was out of town, which made mine a bit lot lonelier than I like.  But it had it’s high points (morning kiddie snuggles, some quiet time in the afternoon, phone calls before bed).  While not the most memorable day, it was a good one [...]

The Weak Week

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life, Writing

Hubby is home, and exhausted. There were more than the usual number of slackers refusing to pull their weight this year. He had something like 9 hours sleep in the past 4 days, and most days only had time to eat once.
The “is it worth it” discussion will come later when he’s recovered.

I’m blogging over at Beyond The Veil today. Mostly about flaws – and Flawed! – and there’s a not quite gratuitous shot of shot of David Beckham in Armani underwear if you want a peak of that to get you going.
And Tina Burns is blogging over at the Divas blog today. Good stuff [...]

New Releases

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Books, Friends News

Some Divas have new releases this week – if you’re looking for something to read, check them out!

“I will always love you.” Not just a figure of speech when you’re undead.
In the Heat of the Night, Book Two
Six months ago, Andre St. James committed the ultimate one-night-stand party foul by turning Cynthiana into the spawn [...]

Website Updated

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life, Site News

I’ve wanted to put a fresh coat of wax on things here at the website since the holidays, but been putting it off (for a whole month, it turns out) while I played with code and tried to decide what I wanted. I think I’m there now.
So it’s Superbowl Sunday, and I have absolutely [...]

One down eleven to go

Posted by Ember C.  Published in Life, Writing

My daughter just told me it’s February first.  This startled me for two reasons – when did she become calendar conscious?  When did I become not?
So January is over.  As months go, it was a good one.  There was A Sale (still happy there).  I got some good words on screen.  Several friends had great [...]

To be matter-of-fact about the world is to blunder into fantasy - and dull fantasy at that, as the real world is strange and wonderful. ~ Robert A. Heinlein

Ember Case

Hi - I'm Ember Case. I'm an author of erotic romances. Paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary, historical - I love them all.

I'm also a wife, a mom, a small business owner, and a passionate volunteer to various organizations, including several chapters of the Romance Writers of America.

I'm probably off somewhere tapping at the keyboard, and wishing I could convince the kids that "Just a sec hun" really means "Go ask your dad."
