The in-laws want to take us out for dinner tonight. Yum, yay, and zippity do dah! I love eating out. The only catch is that I have to pick the restaurant.
It must be a restaurant that fits the following :
- will please a man who will not eat Mexican, Asian, or any ethnic food more exotic that Italian
- will please a couple that disdains chain restaurants
- is suitable for a 6 year old who will most likely only want chicken fingers and french fries
- is appealing to a teenager who would prefer Mexican. If not Mexican, Japanese. Or Chinese. Or Indian. Or Mongolian BBQ.
- preferably a restaurant that will not have a long wait (on a Saturday night, at the beach, on the first warm weekend of the year).
- is not so expensive that I’ll feel guilty when the bill comes.
- has not gone out of business – sadly, the two restaurants that fit all of the above that are near our neighborhood have both done so.
Can’t we just order pizza?
